Apply for the 2020 Nigerian School On Internet Governance (NSIG)
This is to inform the community that the 2020 Nigerian School On Internet Governance (NSIG) is scheduled to take place in Abuja, NIGERIA.
The school will hold just before the Nigerian Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) to give participants the practical experience of participation at a national Internet Governance Forum.
The Internet Society Nigeria Chapter and other industry partners will be offering full/partial fellowships to a limited number of applicants to enable them to participate in the school.
The intensive program will cover core Internet governance issues. The program integrates political, legal, economic, socio-cultural, and technological dimensions of Internet governance into a coherent curriculum, focusing on Nigeria, Africa, and the Global Internet space.
To be considered for the full/partial fellowship,
Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:
1. Must be resident in Nigeria
2. Must fill out the application form in its entirety.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
The NSIG convened by the Internet Society Nigeria Chapter in partnership with other Industry Stakeholders is an effort to build additional Internet Governance capacity within Nigeria.
Schools on Internet Governance has helped many notable countries groom citizens that have risen to take up key positions and influence the global Internet ecosystem.
